Bus - Jay - 09-15-2009 It would be nice to have a bus system in LVP using NPCs. I suggest we create a bus route, using GTA's default bus stops. There should be about 7 buses, so players aren't generally waiting to long. The bus stops should be handled from a function, which detects when the bus enters the bus stop radius, and stops for a few seconds while people get on / off. (Thank fuck for the PauseRecordingPlayback function, otherwise we would've had to create about 50 recording files) The bus should also include a 3D Text showing the bus number / name. Riding the bus should cost $500. A property flag should also be created "The bus depot". I've already planned the route with berkley and have plans for writing the handler (not for LVP, some other shiz I'm working on) but it could easily be ported over once it's ready. Each bus stop should have a name to which can be handled automatically using LVPs GetPlayerZone function, and when riding the bus a textdraw should show the next stop. Thoughts? Re: Bus - tomozj - 09-24-2009 One thing in my mind the whole time: AWE-SOME! ![]() I think perhaps these kindof changes would be welcomed by RPers of course, however I doubt we'll see many DMers on these buses - perhaps we could try and limit the regular teleporting /taxi and replace it with other transport methods. For example, the prices could be a bit more realistic in terms of ratio - the bus could cost 10x less than a taxi, a much cheaper option for a new player.. |
