Ha Chelsea can't sign any new players until 2011 (sorry XiZ) - Munch - 09-08-2009
Said on Sky Sports News the other day that Chelsea tried to illegally sign Gael Kakuta from Lens in 2007 and so the Lens manager complained to FIFA and FIFA banned Chelsea from signing any new players until 2011. So they got a new manager but he can't do much.

Yep. And they recently signed a 3rd choice keeper who is currently their second choice now (afaik). So they're pretty screwed for the four transfer windows. Plus, I think Manchester United could end up in the same boat because they tried to give money to some teenagers parents to move to England and play for them.

Yeah I heard about that, he promised the kid a new house and stuff I think. I was gonna put that but decided not to because I didn't know enough about it so I didn't put it to avoid looking like a clueless idiot
It's about time FIFA does something about Man U. They're just too rich and Fergie is like...too powerful, because he's rich. Even though FIFA are above the English FA, they don't want to do anything incase the FA try to become seperate. Which would screw England up for the international competitions too.
It's funny though, they lose Ronaldo and if they aren't careful they won't be able to replace him. Although people say because they lost Ronaldo they'll go downhill, but that's what everyone said when they lost Beckham and it didn't effect them. But it may well be different this time.

FIFA themselves are way to one-sided and biased. Take the controversial Celtic vs. Arsenal game a week or so ago. Because of "high powered" Scottish executives within the company, they twisted Eduardos punishment until they got the absolute maximum. Proof of this can be seen the following week during Celtics league game (I forget who they were playing). One of their best players Aiden McGeady is caught diving and is given a second yellow card, sending him off. Now, surely even though he was sent off he should still be liable to more punishment. But no, the rest of us get on with the game, because we're not all as big as twats as Celtic fans.
I don't really agree about Manchester being punished for being too powerful. If you look at their team they aren't really full of names that jump out as cheaters, or scum if you will (Especially now Ronaldo's gone). They are just a very good team with players who want to and can play good football.

An yeah well if they have Valencia then they'll be a problem but he's no diver like Ronaldo so they'll have to find new ways to go corrupt. Which puts them at better risk of gettin into trouble with FIFA. But with it being Man U it doesn't really matter what they do I guess, same for Celtic :p
Like in the UEFA Cup (now Europa), when approaching the finals...Rangers never got any breaks or games in hand for the finals, they had to play them all out, whilst that Russian team, can't remember the name, got the breaks. Now if that was Celtic I bet they woulda got some breaks.
Edit: I remembered the team's name Rangers lost to in the UEFA Cup final, because they never had any breaks, whilst the other did and Celtic probably would have had it of been them in the finals. It was Zenit St. Petersburg!

well, Man U should be punished with this, too, but FIFA is like "nooooo, this is man u, we're not doing anything against them". also chelsea can't re-sign with a player in the team if his contract ends before 2011
anyway I'm a bigger fan of Levski, so I'm not gonna get angry about this.

I'm a chelsea fan ever since Zola was around, before the whole mourinho takeover bullshit, I'm slowly losing hope in them because they also suck in PES 09, I'm a chelsea fan till i die but jeez get rid of the oldies and start using that money for someone like Polenta (16 year old wonder CB) or goddamn it just buy Aguero and put him next to Drogba and start using a 4-4-2
But they can't do shit now, so i guess the only way their gonna succeed in 2009-2010 is in my Master League game

They should of kept that Grant guy. I mean he nearly won Chelsea their first Champions League cup, only JUST failed and got the sack. That guy had potential.
