Question - Matthias - 07-23-2009 Howdy, I already asked Hitman, but I just want to be sure . Would this computer be able to run SA:MP?http://www.vandenborre.be/WEB/ENG/Page188.vdb?Detail=K6qaL2doKidm# http://wiki.sa-mp.com/wiki/Introduction#System_Requirements Thanks! Re: Question - FarePak - 07-23-2009 It may run SA-MP but anything 3D and the graphics card will probably struggle, no offence but 400 euros isn't worth that. Go make a thread here, in the "What notebook should I buy" section. http://forum.notebookreview.com/index.php They're really good at suggesting what laptops to get in your budget, i'm 100% sure they will suggest something better for 400 euros, just fill out their form thing which is sticked in the "What notebook should I buy" section. You can compare graphics cards here. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html So you can compare the graphics card on that laptop to the one they suggest. Re: Question - Matthias - 07-23-2009 Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by "but anything 3D"? I've already ordered it so it's kinda too late for that =/ Re: Question - cloakster - 07-23-2009 (07-23-2009, 08:53 PM)Matthias link Wrote: Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by "but anything 3D"? GTA: SA is a very old game and barely takes anything to run it. So by today's standards, GTA: SA is not a 3D-intensive game and that's what he meant by it. Basically, don't expect to run anything more 3-D intensive than GTA: SA
Re: Question - Exquiza - 07-23-2009 it's onboard gfx Re: Question - FarePak - 07-23-2009 Tbh I would of least asked around abit more before buying, i'm almost 100% sure you can get a better laptop for 400 euros. Re: Question - Matthias - 07-24-2009 That's probably true, but I was kinda stupid and ordered it already =/ Oh well, my main intention wasn't to buy it so I could play SA:MP on it. Thanks for the replies. EDIT: Another stupid question: is it possible to plug a wired mouse that I used to use on my old computer to my laptop? Or does it require a special mouse? Thanks Re: Question - FarePak - 07-24-2009 If your mouse is a USB mouse then you'll be able to plug it in the USB port. If not then you're gonna need a PS/2 to USB adapter. Although if your mouse is fairly new and not budget, it shouldn't be a PS/2 connector. Re: Question - Matthias - 07-24-2009 Hm it's not an USB mouse =/ Do you know how much a laptop mouse costs? Re: Question - FarePak - 07-24-2009 Theres not a specific mouse for laptops, you can just get any USB mouse they range from 5 euro to 50+ euro. Well there are mice made for laptops but only reason it says that they're made for laptops because they're really really small but I prefer a full sized mouse. |
