Need some help with L4D - Shen - 07-08-2009

Right, I've heard most of you play L4D and I wanna try it out since it looks insane. I'm downloading it ATM and it will soon be done. Here are some questions.

1. Are the controls hard?
2. How do you play MultiPlayer?
3. Do you need to use a Mic?

More to come  :>

1. Definitely not, just like other FPS games.
2. Just start your game, there are two kind of types, campaign and versus, campaign is a mode for 4 players in total, you need to complete 4 stages of a level to escape and than there is versus; 2 teams with 4 players in it each, one team contains humans (Bill, Zoey, Louis and Francis) and the other zombies (Boomer, Smoker, Hunter and Tank)
3. Nope, although it can be handy.

Thanks Evil

There are servers with 5, 8, even 9 per team, but that's just modified.
@Shen, you're welcome.

Re: Need some help with L4D - Mike - 07-08-2009

I recommend you get a mic. I got vote kicked off a team for not having one.

Re: Need some help with L4D - Shen - 07-08-2009

I'm gonna get a headset soon. I just keep looking at videos. Hopefully I wont have any problems running it

Re: Need some help with L4D - Mike - 07-08-2009

If you can run CS Source (if you play it), then you should be able to run L4D.

Lol that is SUCH bullshit. I can run CSS easily but there is no way in hell i could run L4D. Just take a look @ the minimum requirements -

L4D

Minimum:

    * Supported OS: Microsoft Windows XP / Vista / Vista64
    * Processor: Pentium 4 3.0GHz
    * Memory: 1 GB
    * Graphics: 128 MB, Shader model 2.0, ATI 9600, NVidia 6600 or better
    * Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
    * Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card

CSS

Minimum: 1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

      Recommended: 2.4 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX 9 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Biggg difference
