LVP Senate Re-Established - To be public 4/3/09 - Corleone - 03-18-2009

We are back, and re-established as the New LVP Senate.
The Senate has many more features in production.
We will have the LVP News Reports to be a weekly thing, a surprise
that can possible land itself ingame, and
introducing a new feature, the LVP Economy.

We are still re-writing everything, and enacting new rules
and documents. Later we will release more information
and a possible LVP Constitution, so if anyone
wants to help with the senate, it would be GREATLY
appreciated.




We have 20 senators 1 VP and 1 President.
Each senator has a piece of land that they own in San Andreas.
(Not really ingame, but if you want to take it to that level later then be my guest)

The Senators

As a Senator, you can set the laws of that area. If we can take this game ingame,
you could possible charge the citizens of that area money. (Dunno if that will work
properly though...)
When you apply for a senator for that land, you own the title of
ex - Senator Corleone from Rocksands West
However Senators can only run for a period of 2 terms at a time. One term is 4 weeks.

If you are a Senator for more than one month, you become a Senior Senator.
When you are a Senior Senator, you can propose and enforce new rules of this
game, as long as its not vetoed by a majority of the senators or the president.

Now, the President. (This is what inspired me for this game, I'm running for president
in 2032, so vote for me!)

The President and Vice

The President has a lot of power over san andreas, he gets the title, the ability to run
aspecs of most of this game, but remember, the senate can impeach you and throw you
out of office, dont eff up. The President has a term of 4 weeks per term, and a maximum of
2 terms if re-elected. (3 terms if elected by the senate again incase of San Andreas crisis.)
There is a Vice President position. The running mate of the presidentual nominee
is the vice president if their nominee is elected...If the President disapears for more
than two weeks, or goes on vacation (or dies :X) then the VP becomes President.

Now for the citizens. The citizens are important. Everyone in LVP can be a citizen,
when multiple Senators starts his campain for president, all the citizens vote for
the top 3 Senators to run for President. (Like the democratic conventions, picking
whos the democratic nominie. However we dont have republicans and democrats,
we have the Red Party, Blue Party, and Orange Party.)

How to become a Senator or President? Easy. Just fill out an app, and collect an
ID (signature below.) To become president, start a campain, and hope you make it to
the top three. Then when election day comes along, senators elect you. (Senators
can be influenced by their citizens, which we hope you do) Whoever has
the most electorial votes (EVs) wins the title of President of LVP.




The Secratary of State, Treasury are chosen by the President.

Now, heres an app for a senator. (For the first term of this game, all districts are up for grabs,
just fill an app and I'll add you to the list. Later, if the senate decides to
choose the people to take their place with the multiple applications, then it will be a rule of the game.)

Note : Application may change upon terms, due to perhaps the citizens can vote who runs the district.
And remember, if you pick 2 terms, you can only get the 2nd term if your district isnt on hold, or your
position is up for election.

We have some bad news, and some good news.

The bad news. Right now, I'd like to announce the Senate will be invite only until April 3, 2009 due to
development issues.

The good news. We have an epic surprise to bring to LVP on April 4th, so please stay tuned.

I will not be rejoining the senate, because I think the new senate should only have players in it. Crew should not join in my opinion. I think there should only be one or two crewmembers, that act as a link between the senate and the crew.

I completely respect your opinion. I do have to make a remark however, 70% of the help of creating the senate were crew members.

I would like to say we do welcome any crew, I dont understand exactly why people believe crew cant join, but I respect the opinion. Cheers Wesley, and goodluck with dev.
