Oldschool Clans/Players Read (April06 - Nov/Dec07) - James - 02-24-2009

This is a general query i've been thinking about the last few days.

It has struck me recently that, not to point out the obvious but all the original clans that played SA-MP during 0.1b & the beginning of 0.2 have become rather inactive, hardly surprising considering SA-MP has lost its real clan/gang war atmosphere that used to be so dominant during the the times above.

Here's my question, do you personally think that there could ever, now this is far-fetched but, do you think that you as a member of an oldskool clan and your still active that you could suggest to the rest of the clan about a random reunion, of original fighting.  For example, oldskool fighting being 2shot & 4shot fighting.

I think it would be a good off-the-wall experience for maybe a style of reunion of the old days of SA-MP.

I would like that.

And, what I also would like to have, if someone has enough space on his root server, that he could host a 0.1b server with a 0.1b script again.

The 0.1b client is still downloadable.

That would be pretty fun also, but before you should even think about that, we would need to get a substancial amount of oldschool players back for a temporary period.  It would be a fun experience I think, and might even bring more attention to how fun the oldschool SA-MP days were.

Another bad thing is, that a lot of the old people are splitted now in several hardly known clans, due to the deaths of oldschool clans like SiN and P.

Imo the old players shouldnt start new clans or join random clans, they should join another good oldschool clan just to keep as much of the 0.1b feeling as possible.

They don't need to be in their oldschool clan for this reunion, It'd just be great if all the oldschool players came back for a few more fights etc.  It might even bring back the feeling that was around during 2006/07.

Its a longshot but it'd be great if it worked out.

I thought several times how gangsta it would be to have one great clan with Oldschoolio's only, but that wont work ever  lol

Well I guess we can organize that, cuz we all know that an oldschool player wont ever leave samp completely. Everybody says that he will quit samp, but after 2 months all came back. We all know that we cant leave it forever :)

It's not so much they quit SA-MP.  SA-MP just lost its appeal there is no way in hell you could expect someone whose been around aslong as I have or other people to continue to enjoy playing.

They will have just moved onto other games, like GTA IV for instance.

Problem is how to differentiate between old-school and not old-school. I have seen several posts on the unofficial sa-mp forum where people are posting saying yeah this is a really good idea and how they are looking forward to it when they are basically new. lulz.

Yeah your going to get that, but the fact is we know who was oldschool, and if the people we knew come back for a few more fights it'll be great, your always going to get stradlers who think they know about it but don't, if we had a server full of people from the oldschool days, the newish people wouldn't hang around because they would probaby die alot.
