Moderator Guidelines - Rico - 06-08-2007 Moderator guidelines Las Venturas Playground is getting larger every day, as is the crew. We noticed it can be hard for crewmembers to decide what kind of punishment is needed for different kinds of misbehavior. For example: some crewmembers kick players who refuse to speak English, others just mute them. We feel it's time for some guidelines. You don't have to learn every penalty by heart, just read through them and use this as a reference. If you totally disagree with a punishment, contact the mangement and we'll reconsider it. Note: Do not kick cheaters. If there are admins online, ask them to ban. If there are no admins around, use the /crew - text command to notify admins in #LVP.crew. If no-one replies you can use /kick. The ship & ramp Weapons Purposely shooting someone at the ship or ramp => Jail (2 min) Shooting at the ship or ramp, but not hurting others => Jail (2 min) Fighting Hit with your hands => Jail (1 min) Hit with a weapon => Jail (1 min) Others Crashing a plane into the ship or ramp => Jail (2 min) (Repeatedly Crashing: Kick) (After a kick: Ban of 2days) Crashing a (burning) car into the ship or ramp => Jail (2 min) (Repeatedly Crashing: Kick) (After a kick: Ban of 2days.) [pre][/pre] Cruise Weapons Purposely shooting someone at the cruise => Warning (Repeatedly shooting: Jail (2 min)) Shooting at the cruise, but not hurting others => Warning (Repeatedly shooting: Jail (2 min)) Fighting Hit with your hands => Jail (1 min) Hit with a weapon => Jail (1 min) Others Crashing a plane into the cruise => Jail (2 min) Crashing a burning car into the cruise => Jail (2 min) [pre][/pre] The mainchat Not speaking English => Temporary mute Offending other players => Warning (Repeatedly offending: Mute) Racism => Mute (Repeatedly racism: Kick) In extreme cases: Kick/Ban [[color=red]*] Calling other players cheaters in the mainchat => PM: Use /report Excessive caps => Warning (Repeatedly excessive caps: Mute) Advertising other servers => Kick (Repeatedly advertising: Ban) Flooding => Ban Insulting crewmembers => Mute (Repeatedly insulting: Kick) [pre][/pre] PM & Phone Offending other players => Warning (Repeatedly offending: Mute) Racism => Warning  (Repeatedly racism: Mute) In extreme cases: Kick/Ban [*] Advertising other servers => Kick (Repeatedly advertising: Ban) Flooding => Ban [pre][/pre] Game Every kind of cheat => ban Ping of 500+ => Kick [*] = You yourself should be able to decide whether or not it's an extreme case of racism. Last but not least, there are also changes concerning:   Driveby's   Indoor fighting   Bug abuse Starting with LVP 2.6 they are all allowed, but NOT encouraged. The simplified reason of this: Driveby's are a part of the main game. And when everyone can use them, they don't bring disadvantage to anyone. Indoor fighting, also part of the main game. Bug abuse: We can't watch every player each second. So to avoid things like: - Why can x use bugs, and if I use them I got banned? We allow them all. Less rules, more fun, more Playground.
