Admin commands - Myke - 09-26-2008

/mfetch; could be used to fetch a cheater to a place where you dont lag, also to a place without alot of people around to bother you when you're checking the cheater out.

Another command (probably not the best command in the world) could be used to set one player to ignore another player, or set both players to ignore eachover.
This could be used when two players are arguing and constantly flaming, you could just set them both to ignore eachover.

They could just as easily turn it off with /unignore, but there could be a seperate command that overides the /unignore command for that specific player.
So they can /unignore all the rest of the people on the list, just not the one you've forced them to ignore.
Better-yet, hide them from the /ignored list.

(To save me from making a new topic, I thought i'd just stick this in here while i'm at it)
I noticed someone complaining about a certain player whom kept drive-bying over and over, and he was annoyed at how it only jailed him for 1 minute for him to go back and do it again.

I was thinking, everytime that player is jailed due to drive-bying, his/her time in jail could increase by 1 minute.
This would lessen the chance of them going and doing it again.

/mfetch. I don't understand, what would it do, fetch someone to you? What's wrong with just plain /fetch?

I don't like the idea of admins controlling who a player ignores or not, it should be 100% up to the player. If two people argue & break the rules, what's wrong with just plain /mute?

I dunno about the driveby. It is a nice idea I guess and would eliminate it, but drivebying isn't really a rule, one minute is probably enough. There are other options in the revenge menu as-well, such as stealing money or exploding which may annoy drivebyers.

He probably means it fetches the player without giving the message 'You have been fetched by an administrator', like /mtp.

Re: Admin commands - Jay - 09-26-2008

Oh I see. I guess that could be useful, perhaps a /p command for it.

Yeah, fetching a cheater to a secluded place with the message 'You've been fetched by an administrator.' could make them suspect you're checking them out.

As for the force ignore commmands, I was thinking that while i was writing it, but, you could make it only ignore them for a certain ammount of time, so its like a mute, but only between them two.
A type of, cool-off period between for them both.

And if they're suddenly next to some guy with a yellow color(which most people recognize as admins) who starts shooting them, they won't notice? :+

lol, make sure you /hide yourself before you fetch.

Then why not mtp? The lag thing you said, isn't much of a problem. The lag which could cause you problems, is fps lag or bad server lag(making people warp) but then it doesn't matter where you have them really :P

It's also nice for Undercover Crew members. :P I like this idea; not because we need it, but because it'd be nice to have.

Since where discussing admin commands, what was the point of your suggestion about adding an ammo parameter to the /p [id] gun command?
