I don't believe Scots are considered English nor do they want to be but I could be wrong, I don't live in Britain

Scots aren't English, they're Scottish.
And no, too many of them hate English and want to be seperated, despite their country surviving from us. Their students get free university entries but anyone else (English included) has to pay the full tuition fee (now at £9,000 a year). They get that free entry through taxes (from Scotland and the rest of the UK). If they were seperated, these nice benefits won't last long. Especially in these hard times.
