That's just like me saying all the shit you listen to sounds exactly the same as Soulja boy and lady gaga. Not only is a good deal of metal more musically wholesome than 99% of the crap you listen to, it's also a great deal technically tougher.

He meant some rap as in mainstream rap (like some of Eminem's commerical work).
But yeah a lot of RnB/Pop are people crying about being rejected and stuff. I can't deny that I listen to RnB, since it's everywhere in England.
I see where Swifty is going with the metal, sort of. If you don't listen to a music genre, then you'll just generalise about it. If you're no metal fan all you see and hear in metal is screaming and bashing drums (because of the emos/goths that listen to it). I know metal is a lot more than that, I don't know a great deal about it so I can't comment for the metal fans.
It's like hip hop, if you aren't a fan then you'll just look at it as a bunch of black people crying about their poor childhoods and stuff, but if you like it then you'll know it's more deep than that.

Stereotyping Emo's. Punk, alternative, rock, and sometimes pop/punk. Is the genre emo's listen to. Gothic people are the whiny "I hate life you can all go to hell" crybabies.
