I hate muting for flaming, cause in my opinion flaming keeps the competition alive. Obviously if the flaming exceeds the limit I'll do something for it, but imo it's just part of the game. For racism instead I usually see in which contest that happens, and I prefer giving out a clear warning and/or a kick instead of a straight ban(that doesn't apply for regulars since they're supposed to know the rules already).
