Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - 0Target0 - 05-09-2011 (05-09-2011, 09:17 AM)ELABD link Wrote: Ok lemme look at things from ur point of view. We are coincidents of the universe, considering the size there will be more planets with life on it. Stating that some person created the universe only shows how limited your views are. The egocentric view of human beings is just proof that the whole god story is just a comforting fantasy. Something doesn't have to be created by someone. It's like my quote about gravity, it creates itself out of nothing and the universe is still expanding. Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - ELABD - 05-09-2011 Wat about this?! www.aljazeerah.info/Islamic%20Editorials/2007/September/The%20Scientific%20Evidence%20That%20God%20Exists%20and%20the%20Holy%20Qur'an%20Is%20His%20Message%20to%20Humanity%20By%20Hassan%20Ali%20El-Najjar.htm Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - Maka - 05-09-2011 That's a point where I've been before and totally not reading again. Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - durrrrr - 05-09-2011 Evolution makes everything complicated, not someone/something else. Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - 0Target0 - 05-09-2011 I believe Christianity and Islam are the most repressive religions on the planet, designed to keep people dumb. And that while it was developed by people to give reasonable answers to things they can not explain (such as the creation of the universe). As soon as science provides proof that it is not god, you see that people get angry cause they got fooled all their lives by believing something that is not true. In the middle ages people got prosecuted and killed for providing scientific evidence that didnt match the interpretation of the bible. In the end the religions will die. (05-09-2011, 05:21 PM)0Target0 link Wrote: I believe Christianity and Islam are the most repressive religions on the planet, designed to keep people dumb. that just shows how ignorant you are about Islam and you tend to form non-subjective opinions on something you know 0%(maybe 0.01 about, let me quote this verse from Quran:[35:27]Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then We bring forth therewith fruits of various colors; and in the mountains are streaks, white and red, of various hues and (others) intensely black?[35:28] And of men and beasts and cattle are various species of it likewise; those of his servants who truly fear Allah are the scientists; surely Allah is Mighty, Forgiving. meh, another ex-Christian who thinks that all religions are like Christianity. and yes, all religions will die, at least Islam will, someday, then the end of the world comes. Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - [SAE]Grim - 05-09-2011 That just shows how ignorant you are about non-believers and you tend to form non-subjective opinions on something you know 0%(maybe 0.01 about, let me quote this verse from this thing called common sense:[35:28] And of men and beasts and cattle are various species of it likewise; those of his servants who truly fear it^ are the religious; surely common sense is Mighty, Forgiving. Pretty much. Also, it's funny how you call people ignorant yet you are just as ignorant yourself. I'm probably ignorant sometimes too but stop pretending u aint ignorant. "lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact" !! Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - Tuism - 05-09-2011 Quote:Grim link=topic=28190.msg386755#msg386755 date=1304965424] that was funny... did you notice "those of his servants"? and wth does that have to do with anything, he said that Islam doesn't let people think and I showed him that he's wrong about Islam.. -__- and yes we all are ignorants, but I said Quote:that just shows how ignorant you are about Islam pfft Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - [SAE]Grim - 05-09-2011 (05-09-2011, 07:47 PM)TwistedDemon link Wrote: that was funny... did you notice "those of his servants"? Yes, the servants of Common Sense. Anyway I dont really understand how u showed him he's wrong about Islam You might call him ignorant but he is actually very correct on what he posted. While not everything in religion is bad (far from), what he said covers up a pretty large portion of how religion is today, specially christianity and islam. You quoting verses from the Quran doesnt really help either. |
