Just a quick suggestion:
If this topic were to be stickied then it would mean that all that need namechanges and dont have IRC could ask here, i know this is kinda happeneing already, but if this topic were to be dead for a bit then people wont bothr searching for it and will just create new topics.

It's working fine, though it's been some downtime with the server.
You could try connecting to 'irc.multitheftauto.com' or 'irc.gta-host.com' instead of irc.gtanet.com, it will lead you to GTANet but from another server.
