Back to Karkand has a release date, well, two.
It will release for PS3 on December 6th and for PC and Xbox 360 December 13th. Battleblog's post about it.

BF 3 for PC are u sure about it ?I have read some blogs about it and everyone says for BF 3 on pc u have to use NASA computers...Is that right?

Mine's two years old, with a pretty shitty GPU but I can play BF3 at 60 FPS. Though if you know you have a bad computer I wouldn't go with BF3.
