Oh and there are no actual rules against drive-by itself. The punishment menu is there and evading that is against the rules but the punishment menu itself does not automatically make it lame and to my knowledge people can still drive-by, they just have to accept the punishment menu.
How on Earth can you say drive-by is "lame" but ganging up on someone is not? How is that much better? I don't consider either to be lame, they're just fighting tactics, but if you consider one lame then the other must be lame too. It's much easier to fight a drive-byer than 3 people when you're on your own.

Like I said, evading the punishment menu could be considered "lame", but I was not talking about the punishment menu. By drive-by I mean staying in a vehicle (or on a bike) and blast someone until they're dead. That does not involve getting out/off and finishing them off. By doing it this way there is nothing lame whatsoever because it is part of the game.

If we use your reasoning here, it's stupid to go in against someone drive-bying. Now it's stupid to suggest that because most of the time you're fighting someone doing a drive-by they go to you, often while you're in the middle of a fight. Now if someone goes to fight you, then more friends jump him, how does that make the victim's actions stupid when they initially challenged you? Or if you're fighting someone and then a group comes from nowhere and jumps you? You can't criticise them for that because they might not have been expecting to see a gang pop up.
Like I said, I don't consider either to be lame, but I'm aware of the problems people have with both and with some of the more reasoned arguments I consider ganging up more "lame" than drive-by (legal drive-by) because it's a much harder tactic for the victim to defend against and they won't always have control over it happening in the first place (although that's the same for drive-by).
