@Hitmain: Well i was thinking in US dollars, but also...if you spend that much on the video card...you would have to cheap out somewhere else which would not be worth it.
thats exactly the reason not everyone can get 4gb ram on their first buy, specially budget pc. ofcourse you can add parts after.

My 4GB ram cost my a whooping 85 euros, although it is DDR3 but also its the cheapest Corsair DDR3 version of 4GB ram, not Corsair value thingy btw.

Re: What kind of computer? - FriZerra - 05-03-2009

well 4 gig ram aint expensive

i got 2 sticks of 2 GiG DDR2 for just 70 dollars

so , yeah

and yeh...u dont have to be rich to have some ram

really man.....its true

if i were soo rich , i would myself have a GTX 295  _O-

im stil stuck with a baby XFX 8600 GT  O-)

well i DIDNT MEAN CRAP !

i just mean u can GET IT FOR GOOD !

2 GIG RAM DOES THE JOB TOO !

lol, FriZerra...which side are you on? :P

You argued that 4GB of RAM is worth it then you said that 2GB is good :P

Re: What kind of computer? - Hitman - 05-03-2009

well, atleast with an x64 OS is 2GB and less a no-go imo. 4GB+ ftw

Re: What kind of computer? - cloakster - 05-03-2009

The fact that its a 64bit OS does not make a difference on the amount of RAM it uses :P

it does, because an 64bit OS emulates every 32-bit task (which are almost all tasks) to an 64bit task by simply adding 32-"Zero's" behind the command, so that it is a "fake" 64bit task.

That doesnt take a lot of Ram, but still, it takes some :)
