Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - Cunga - 04-13-2011 Jesus converted water to wine
Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - Munch - 04-13-2011 Drinking wine / alcohol isn't a sin, glutony is. You are just looking at each verses individually which gives the appearance of a contradiction. Now let me try to explain to you why there is no contradiction. I still consider it a sin. "If a big portion made one drunk, then a small portion of it, is forbidden" Also sometimes the drink can be so strong that it makes you drunk after 1 glass, If I drink it and I don't know that it's so strong and now i'm drunk, is that a sin? I'm just stating what the Bible says. (04-14-2011, 02:45 AM)TwistedDemon link Wrote: "If a big portion made one drunk, then a small portion of it, is forbidden" Are we still talking about wine? Or are you referring to other types of beverages? Wine was simply grape juice in those times. So they drank grape juice all year round? From fresh grapes ?No seriously even the greeks 6th century BC had alcoholic wine. Inventing stories Ryder ?
Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - Nj - 04-14-2011 Alcohol has been around as long as fruit has, it produces naturally in the fermenting process... theres a funny video of some monkeys getting drunk after they stumble across a pool of water with an apple tree hanging over it, apples fall into water, ferment, monkeys eat apples, drunk monkeys. We didn't invent it, merely discovered it. Re: [Serious Discussion] Religion - HoldeN - 04-14-2011 me and my friends store our buds in a hole in a bible, should we feel ashamed? You shouldn't be drinking when you're 13 then. |
