Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - Danny - 04-28-2011 What motherboard do you have at the moment? Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - Danny - 04-29-2011 Off the top of my head, I guess the best way to find it would be as your computer starts up, you get a "bios screen". It's very quick, but you should get the make and model of your motherboard. Try and memorize it, or take a picture or something, since it'll be gone in a few seconds I Although I think that there's a way to pause it. The pause/break button maybe? Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - BrainDeadGamer - 04-29-2011 Im 99% sure he will need a new motherboard if he wants to go with AMD, as the bottom for the CPU thingy has a different pattern or something and from what i see he has a intel CPU right now, which means an intel mobo Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - Danny - 04-29-2011 You're probably right. If his motherboard's processor socket is LGA775 then it won't support any AMD processors. I suppose your best bet would be going for an Intel processor in the same price range, like this: Intel Pentium E5700 3.0GHz I don't know much about Intel processors though, so I have no idea if it's a good one or not. It shouldn't make much difference to the performance in the video I posted above, though. Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - BrainDeadGamer - 04-29-2011 Yeah, and pentium isnt ->That<- great.. it will get the job done and it might play GTA 4.. that is if you have a good GPU Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - MacSto - 04-29-2011 BDG is right. Better off sticking with an Intel CPU, saves the hassle of replacing the entire motherboard. Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - BrainDeadGamer - 04-29-2011 ^ Intel is more money, but cheaper then buying a new motherboard though, i would say a core2 Duo or maybe a i3 or i5? Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - MacSto - 04-29-2011 Well, I think i5 and up use a different socket type, but I may be wrong. Re: Time to make Gameplay faster! - xBlueXFoxx - 04-29-2011 Yeah it would be rather useless going from an intel core2 CPU to a rather weak model of an AMD CPU, if anything if here were to do that he should get at least an AMD Phenom II x3 or x4 model, as he would have to but new compatible motherboard also which would go much past his budget. |
