(without removing it and messing up all of my wires) Anyway back to the topic. You should probably get a pc since you can do a lot more with that than a ps3. All the ps3 is good for is the blu ray and some games that are exclusive for it. Re: New PC or PS3? - Cave - 10-06-2009 Rofl, Alienware. Re: New PC or PS3? - cloakster - 10-07-2009 Dan_, what you still haven't answered is if you like PC gaming or Console gaming. For me, i like console gaming for several reasons: 1. Its a lot more fun to use the analog sticks vs a mouse - In FPS's it seems to much of just point and shoot with a mouse, but with the analog sticks it takes skill to get the crosshair on target to get the kill. For me, if it takes more skill....its more fun. - In sports games you need to have a gamepad or else it just doesn't work as well since sports games do not use any functionality of a mouse. Also, NHL 10 is not being made for the PC and other sports game may follow the same path. 2. Never having to worry about the system requirements is nice and just knowing that your playing at the highest possible settings is a great feeling. The 360 and especially the PS3 have not been pushed to their limits so even though its older hardware, the graphics in games are still going to improve. 3. Playing split screen with your friends is a lot of fun, which is not possible with PC's ![]() 4. Talking over PSN or XBL is a lot better than using the phone/skype 5. All my friends have 360's ![]() (10-06-2009, 03:59 PM)Erin link Wrote: All the ps3 is good for is the blu ray and...Blu Ray players only cost about $60 for the PC, so its not that big of an advantage... Just the drive, but to actually get any improvement by the HD material your screen has to support HD resolutions (1920x1080 or 1920x1200 depending on 16:10 or 16 ).Re: New PC or PS3? - cloakster - 10-07-2009 (10-07-2009, 11:05 AM)Hitman link Wrote: Just the drive, but to actually get any improvement by the HD material your screen has to support HD resolutions (1920x1080 or 1920x1200 depending on 16:10 or 16 PC monitors that are 1080P+ cost less than TV's and it is possible to hook up your PC to any LCD TV....so your point is? That HD doesnt "feel the same" on a small monitor, even if it has 1080p ![]() HD on a 22inch monitor with 1080p still barely looks better then normal dvd quality, HD really shows it's quality on 38inch and higher displays, IMO PS: might be that other people notice a huge difference on normal small pc monitors aswell, i for myself find them so small that its not worth the upgrade Re: New PC or PS3? - Xover - 10-07-2009 (10-07-2009, 02:14 AM)tumitama link Wrote: PS2 was bad ass while it lasted, and PS1 still has some classics, too bad I hear PS3 is not backwards compatible.lol say it to you self PS2 isnt bad bish
