I had San Andreas on PS2 before, so I knew my way around the basics of the game, and SA-MP wasn't too much different. When I joined HsG, there were a few guys in there who helped me with hitboxing and lead-aiming, although I can't remember any of their names. But when I joined Hoodlumz, Infamous and some others helped me out alot at getting better.

But I epically suck at fighting now.

I kinda figured out the lead aiming thing by myself and other stuff but I've helped quite a few ppl to get into the world of sa-mp  ;)

[JOKER]DaViD - taught me basics of lead aiming
[eVo]Thug - Helped me a tad with movement / sawns
[SWK]Nemesis - helped me more in depth with RW
[SAE]Jakez - Helped me with Walkies / AAD a lot, showing me tactics, strategies etc.

I've never had a mentor, nor have I ever had people on games. I occasionally find someone who'll answer some things that I just can't for the life of me find the answer to myself. But on the whole, I'm my mentor. I've always started out on my own and just rode around, reading chats and exploring options.

In SA-MP, I never got trained in PS and they were all easy or just bad laggers...or cheaters. On SA-MP2 when I started playing properly, when I joined LVP, I still had no help.

So pretty much the only help I've ever actually got was when I was in UW, when me and Ryder (pretty much only me an Ryder) did training on that server he loved so much. Then I didn't learn all that much, other than the main thing that helped me get my deaths from 5x my kills to just over 2x my kills. How? Well when I taught him I learnt how good I was with Sawns in comparison to Tec9s, and how shit Tec9s actually are on SA-MP.

So, my mentor was Ryder!

Re: Mentors. - Flyby - 07-21-2009

Was around when weezy got 3 day ban from LW and we decided to hang out in PS during that time and we learned a few good hitbox skills from a guy named KFC zhalko, and as well just fighting against huge numbers (being chickens and fighting a horde of traids).

(fought some clans as well M, KFC, NB and few others).

But also picked up some skills back in LW days from just doing the old style fighting around nam with clans like SiN, SMITH, W, R/S, and etc., every night was fun and a challenge.

Oh and the SiN server was great training back then, with 1on1's with alot of clan members.
