Massachusetts has snow as well, but not like Upstate New York. _O- You can pretty much count on it snowing there year-round.

Here in South-Central Alaska, there is snow on the ground about 7 months a year. Some places it can dump several yards (yard = 3 Meters) of snow. Meh.
