Ehm... Turkey... you pointed out yourself what I wanted to say. French is, logically, "easier" to learn because it IS (along with Spanish, Portuguese-which was invented by a drunk spanish tard-, Italian, Romanian, Catalan and MUCH many others) a romance language, which means that all of these are derivated from Latin. According to what I understood from this post, since you just need a quick & easier-faster to learn language because you don't have quite a lot of time (trust me, after you are past 7 years old it takes time to really learn a foreign language), I'd say go for French. Its pronunciation is pretty cool imo (hence why it's called the language of love) and you can use it in a wide range of countries unless Latin, which isn't itself spoken anymore.
NOW, I'd suggest you to add Latin as a secondary to do task, because, as you just mentioned before, it's the base of many of the most spoken languages, so once you learn it you can easily learn any romance language. I studied English & French at univesity for nearly 1 semester -most precisely foreign languages degree-, and we had a brief introduction to languages history, so I most likely know why I'm advising you such

you cant speak latin(like talk with somebody), its dead and its just used for definitions and stuff
french is alive, its a not bad language, you can speak it, also girls think its romantic to talk french

Some here say that latin is hard, but I totally see that every word is so closely related to other languages that I speak

But is that really true? Is it really easier to learn than Latin? I think I wouldn't have that many problems with the pronouncation. So, if the French grammar is easier and faster to learn, I will definitely decide for French..
But yes, I believe French is easier and way more useful than Latin.
You have to pick what you feel most attracted to, though.

French would be the easiest of the two, and is still 'alive' as many people have pointed out already...
However, learning french means you'll probably be interacting with french people or the kind of people that speak french which would be the main reason to pick latin personally.
Also you might get it into your head to visit these french speaking parts of the world on holiday instead of going somewhere with nice people. Just something to think about

Anyways, they both suck but i'd go for french, since i had a very hard time learning latin, it took me about 2 hours to learn like..30 words? I've only had Latin for about a year and I hated it. I also dropped French since I prefer german above french lol. I would've gone for spanish if i could..me llamo dominator :7
