Re: Laptop specs - captaint - 06-23-2010

better buy now, cause of the dollar-euro prices will go up over 10% in a few months!  :w

lolz matthias,

with the alienware laptop i agree. But that dell is not overpriced...

;) :P

Re: Laptop specs - Blacksmithy - 06-23-2010

I'm still sticking to my recommendations but I wouldn't get neither of them notebooks.

The flashy lights and the brand name itself is what makes the Alienware notebook 500 euros overpriced and if you're planning on playing games I wouldn't recommend the Dell either. The CPU is good but balls to that. There are way better notebooks priced the same as the Dell with a well rounded setup.

You still haven't mentioned your budget so I can't recommend the best priced notebook for you.

Anybody who buys an alienware is  uneducated. Unless your parents are filthy rich and your a spoiled brat.

Loads of people buy Alienware notebooks. I'm not saying they suck because they're actually really good, the best part about them is that the graphics card can be upgraded unlike many of the notebooks out there.

Most Alienware buyers play it smart aswell so when theres a newer Alienware notebook coming out soon they'll just sell their current one and buy the newer one. That way they'll always have the newest notebook and only spending an extra $200 or so each time.

Plus if you're filthy rich you wouldn't spend it? They must of worked hard enough to earn the money so they should be able to spend it.

Your right and wrong. Theres plenty of ways to make money, some illegaly and some legally, and the way i look at it, doctors get paid hella money, and all they do is touch your body and prescribe you pills. Thats all my grandfathers doctor does, and thats all my doctor does. So does that count as working hard?

Alienware is a shit company, charging people .5 times what you can built for in a computer. In todays economy, i doubt anyone is willing to buy an alienware when you can build a pc yourself. Sure the notebooks are great, but way overpriced in my eyes. My friend bought a simple notebook with a 3 year warranty for $550, and it runs Bioshock on medium fine.

But i get your point. :)

Re: Laptop specs - bubbles - 06-24-2010

Alienware are lovely machines..as in they are very well built, especially the desktops, automatic movable air ducts etc. Yeah they are overpriced compared to building your own box, but they are box shaped sex.

So, if you have the money, why not.  As for Seans bad doctor... yah, he probably worked his ass for for 20 years to get to that 'level'.  Touching and perscribing pills is actually hard work because you have to know whats going on, so you don't miss something that will end up killing patients... or perscribing something that will...  in short you still pay him, because you're no where near smart enough to give yourself a checkup :P

I bet he loves spending all your money, probably spends more money on fancy toilet paper in a week then you make in a month :)
