i had similar problems like munch but in vista (msn cudnt upgrade automatically neither it let me reinstall it) but once i had a random "cudnt load your profile so this is temporary" and it came with default etc and i installed it then restarted laptop...then its workin again
also you can do restore to factory setting to fix it but i gues msns not worth that
