Americas Army is as realistic to the army as guitar hero is to being a guitarist.
Sure, it may be more "realistic" than other games but at the end of the day the differences are huge.

We can all agree that no game can prepare you for what is in the army, besides, most isn't shooting, its about keeping fit, keeping hidden and running with heavy shit on your back for 50 miles.

Everybody that wants a REALISTIC shooter should go play Americas Army 3 or Armed Assault 2.
Correct, there is no rush & kill. Dead after 2 hits. No health/armor/ammo/HUD/team name signs. No crosshair. no unrealistic crap.

Of course it can be for those who think it is (they have to experience it first though)
And about America's Army: It can't prepare you for the army but it learns you about what you need to know in the army, how to advance in the training, and what the training will look like etc.
But as Ben said, thinking you'll own in the army because you're a world-class CoD player is....just plain stupid!
