Re: Radio Management (task)list - TEF - 03-23-2009

When should we end the poll? :+ I just thought of that... Perhaps in two more days? That way those who haven't voted yet can still have a chance to cast their vote.

Re: Radio Management (task)list - tBKwtWS - 03-23-2009

These ideas are all very nice, but if you are going to make them a requirement you are going to lose me as a dj, and I think others as well. (I have no software to make jingles)

LVP media pays everything so we do not need money.

I do not need jingles to do that.
(03-23-2009, 08:20 AM)Fist link Wrote: as all of our shows are different so having a little reminder that your still listening to LVP Radio every so often is a good idea.
I will use my voice to do that.
(03-23-2009, 08:20 AM)Fist link Wrote: We could have a promo for someone elses show? Make our listeners think "that sounds good, and tune in".
ofcource people can make promos and ask others to introduce them, but I will be up to the dj who has to introduce them if he will or not. But forcing them to do it, no thats taking away creativety.

We can get more listerens from lvp, but they wont be hearing jingles ingame. Also we do not need to concern ourselves with getting lvp more plyers or money, other people have that job and its going great. Also the lvp players are listening to the radio noone else has yet tuned in, so promoting lvp will be futile.

Jingles are not annoying but telling people they have to make jingles (I think some of our dj's have no clue how to make jingles) and have to use them is. If i get a chanse to dj somewhere I want to make a show that I like (if the dj is happy he will make the show more fun, forcing him to do things he does not wont to will decrease the quality of the show)
(03-23-2009, 08:20 AM)Fist link Wrote: It makes it sound a little bit more professional, I know you think well a "fun radio" doesn't have to sound professional, but we will impress more listeners. Don't forget that this is a "radio station" so yes, we do have to sound a bit like a radio station sometimes...
Professional radio stations are available everywhere, then why do people pick lvp radoi? to hear their friend not to hear the same radio music over and over again and I think its fun to listen to amateur radio.
You are afraid we will lose listeners, well now we have 0 listeners atm, less then 0 listeners you cant have, so dont worry when the radio goes up we can only get more then 0 listeners.
I think we are losing listeners every day we are offline.

Next you are the scheduler, so if shows get low ratings the week after you can give other djs a pick first and move the bad shows to other hours. If having no jingles really makes a show lose listeners then after a few weeks only the shows with jingles will be getting the best times. (so why worry)
Next to this I think If we have to wait for every dj to make and submit jingles we can launch in 6 to 8 months, as some djs have not even signed in to the schedule yet.

As management of the radio we should provide an organized environment in which dj's can make shows of quality they like in a fair way. (and not shows we force them to make) We should not be making rules about this, we should be making rules like no racism and the shows with most listeners get to pick airtime first.
Anyway once I am airing my show I feel I will have a lot more motivation to make a jingle, now I feel like we might never go online,so whats the point and I get this feeling from other djs as well.

Re: Radio Management (task)list - TEF - 03-26-2009

It's official: LVP Radio will no longer require the use of jingles. ;)

Oh, and Fist, Badeend made a schedule located here. Please include him in the credits with your new poll. ;) By the way, Fist, where am I on the schedule? Each time LVP Radio started I was one of the first to PM you, yet both times I was never put on the schedule. Because you're ignoring my PMs, I've decided to post it here... Perhaps you'll read it.

Re: Radio Management (task)list - Badeend - 03-26-2009

The schedule isn't finished yet ;)

Re: Radio Management (task)list - tBKwtWS - 04-06-2009
