I find it ignorant to narrow down the whole forum's taste in music to the level of bands/rappers. That would assume that people have only 2 choices: whether you listen to rap or a music made by bands which in fact leaves out electronic music made by solo producers. A bit offtopic, but it's also fair to say that the quality levels/standards in the overall music industry have never ever been so low as they are right now and that pretty much applies to every genre out there, especially ideawise...I find it amazing how dull some of the tracks sound these days, makes me wanna puke that every kid who has a PC and Fruity Loops at home or who has been shot at least 2 times is qualified enough to be a "musician". I have been in the industry for over 7 years so trust me I know what I'm talking about. Once again, HB jumps in to share his wisdom. note to hoogerbooger, you have to be wise to share wisdom... this must be hurting your brain cell Re: Favorite bands/Rappers - HoogerBooger - 03-25-2008 (03-25-2008, 09:46 PM)InVion link Wrote: Once again, HB jumps in to share his wisdom. note to hoogerbooger, you have to be wise to share wisdom... this must be hurting your brain cell Once again InVion jumps in to share his foolishness, we have really understood already that you aren't the brightest pencil in the crate. If you had any counter arguments for my statement you would have written them here, but obviously you don't know much about the topic so better don't even try. Oh and by the way last time I checked the point of the discussion board was to discuss (means that people exchange different opinions). And I really don't recall you sharing any wisdom anywhere so far so it's fair to assume that you are a demagogue. Your best friend, HoogerBooger. Re: Favorite bands/Rappers - Danny - 03-25-2008 I could've made a clever retort, but I cba to fight with you. It wouldn't be worth the effort. Re: Favorite bands/Rappers - MoToRoLa - 03-26-2008 cool topic. but my favorite genre is reggaeton Re: Favorite bands/Rappers - HaZe - 03-26-2008 (03-25-2008, 10:30 AM)HoogerBooger link Wrote: Sorry but this topic blows. Oh man I do find it a bit ignorant. First of all since we are living in an extremely digital musical era, the instrumental side basically survives thanks to the electronic support. Secondly I can't even comment how wrong it is to think that producing electronic music doesn't require any skill, there are still tons of producers out there whose sound engineering skills are out of this world and those are the people pushing the boundaries of the musical spectrum by creating fusions of various genres at the same time discovering and improving new soundscapes...it's fair to call some of them scientists of sound really. And I am not talking about the crap you can hear on MTV and such. By the way don't take it as I am a truehead electronic music listener, I'm not, I am opened to all the genres because I know there is quality in each of them, you just have to find it. Good discussion tho. Your best friend, HoogerBooger. Re: Favorite bands/Rappers - HaZe - 03-26-2008 well we all have our own preferences and it could be an endless debate, which can lead to this thread being locked. if it makes you happy i will edit the topic and add solo artists.
