The ending is:
Neville (Will Smith) found the cure 2 the virus that was infecting the humans and animals. But he had 2 sacrifice himself so that the other survivor could take the cure 2 the scientists at the safe zone.
So, Neville went KaMiKaZe b00m~b00m with a grenade 2 save the other 2 survivors.
Thus, he became THE Legend, coz he found the cure to the virus that almost wiped out all of the humans from the face of the Earth.

Well XL, I loved every part. My sister had her eyes closed and covered by her hand THE ENTIRE DAMN MOVIE! Shes a baby at 10 years old....

I loved the part when Neville was talking to maniguins at the DVD rental store. Plus, theres going to be a sequal...it might begin toward the end at that Rhode Island settlement that one woman found.
