The last earthquake that happened in the UAE/Persian area was in like 2001 or something near that, I was 5 years old back then so I don't remember very well, but my family told me they felt it, but it was so low they only felt a small shake underneath them (as they told me).
Earthquakes don't happen very often in the middle east afaik. Thank God.

I live in San Francisco and I do expect another earthquake, and I do expect a bigger one, but I just hope no big comes anytime soon.
