That's the single most dumbest thing I've read so far. Nuclear plants are a must. If some of you are so certain it shouldn't be used, then please, tell us all the great, better working alternatives.

Burning coal is so much better. :X

Windmills and solar panels aren't better quite yet. It'll still be a few years before that fully gets going. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for solar power and windmills, but the fact of the matter is that nuclear power will still be used for probably the next forty years. It will just be a lot more sophisticated, way less dangerous, and so forth.

Because a bunch of pubescents on a game forum know jack shit about nuclear power.

Nuclear power is safer then our most common forms of energy, ie coal and petroleum. Fewer people have died from a nuclear power plant accident then coal mining, ever. Nuclear plants could actually reduce our dependence on fossil fuels for those who are green geeks and they omit less carbon dioxide then the coal plants do, so altogether nuclear plants are more "green".

yes, no need to explain since fat already did

Re: should nuclear power be used or not - durrrrr - 03-21-2011

It should be used, but of course carefully. Japan did the wrong thing when building the nuclear plants in a zone where earthquakes occur very often.
But since nuclear reactors produce huge amounts of energy, and they produce so few of waste if treated properly I vote 'yes'.
