I have about 60GB of music and i can say that even now there's hundreds of songs that i simply havent listened to yet.
And i can't see the parallels between Rise Against and Nickelback lol, i like a few Nickelback songs, and i've never met anyone before that thought they sound similar, lol.
About the "new modern music" thing, depends how you define modern

Yeah there's a massive difference between Rage Against the Machine and Rise Against, though a few years ago when I first saw someone say "Rise Against" my thoughts jumped to RATM.
As much as it fuckin pains me to say this, I agree with bubbles.

They've already got somewhere, and tons of crap music does get incredibly popular (Avenged Sevenfold for example). I do however agree that it is bland and terrible.

I listen to the vast majorty of the music I have. I don't waste storage space on things I won't watch/play. Its not that much since mist of them are .flacs and can be 10 times larger then mp3s, I like my quality

The deepness of Floyd is another debate not for here, but yes I would consider thier work to be far deeper than the majority of music. Mainly down to the vast explosion of the amounts of music in the last decade, the REAL good shit is a tiny fraction of it.

And another note re: this band.. There has been hardly any replies and none if I'm correct from people saying they like them or they are good. Sure I decided to make a vocal stance on it personally, but I am one person.
The quietness says it all really.
No offence to Hitman and fans, I would have let it go if it wasn't for the 'deep' comment (still makes me giggle) but don't take it as a bad thing, you just have bad taste in the opinion of one person out there(me). Different people like different music, hell I even have a couple of Kylie Minogue songs in my playlist somewhere
