But they don't seem to listen...

Promote players!!!!

We do listen, we just need an option that doesn't involve promoting players.

Also, we cant just promote ppl because we need more crew, the person has to deserve it.

Yea... Since school started I've only been able to get on for and hour or two. Also, I've been getting hammerd with different work hours. Last sat, I worked nine hours. Yet, I still went in game to see whats ups. We try very hard to do what we have to do. In the summer, my life is kinda on "pause." I have nothing really instead of work and hanging out with friends... But now since school started, and I have work after school... I try to find time in game. We're very sorry if we have a life too... It's a video game. Not like people in real life and using "s0beit" and flying around in cars and using money cheats. It's just a game guys. We have a huge staff...

As reasonable as this fact is, there is still an obligation to the community you have created to uphold the standards you have set which make this server stand out from the rest as an enjoyable and worthwhile playing experience. I mean this in this in the utmost respect to the staff, and am grateful of your protection in game. However, if you would, sympathize with me for a minute. I am, as of about a month ago, completely submerged in school work. If I am lucky, which I have been as of late, I may have an hour or two to relax after classes and then the reading/notes/sketches that are required for me each day. As I don't have much time to really go places, I use your server to unwind before I crash. SO... it really really stinks to finally be done with loads of tedious notes, and log in to find miniguns rampaging around during my precious free time :'(. Axmish is right, there is a chunk of time late at night where we aren't covered and the cheaters seem to be well aware of this.

Anyway, thanks for your devotion and protection, and I hope you can get things 100%.

Non-Stop Typing

Indeed, it is difficult. But, cloakster, Katie, BoogerJay, and Makaveli are on at similar times. I am also comfortable with managing the server alone when necessary, albeit fast paced.

Re: Lack of mods/admins - Hector - 09-12-2007

People take this game waaaaay too seriously.  :w

Re: Lack of mods/admins - Axmish - 09-12-2007

heh this topic is still alive :D

Check iv noticed that when Admins/mods are on the server most players try getting noticed. By helping them out with telling people what not to do eg. caps, fighting on the ship/ramp, lang, spam and so on, but as soon as the admins/mods are gone then no1 does anything about it. yes u cant mute, jail or kick. but hey most players listen when you warn them directly.
If u see some1 doing something wrong just pm them explaining whats up, most of the time they listen.
and if they continue go onto mIRC and get hold of an admin/mod from there, most of the time some1 is there too help.
So at the end of the day no more staff are needed only helpfull players.  :)

Re: Lack of mods/admins - HaZe - 09-12-2007

yes, maddd props for KS, he's doing wonderful as an admin.

well idk what you can really do. i think maybe people that you think could help the server, but they dont deserve admin... should get like, full time moderator? or just make temp mods.

Re: Lack of mods/admins - cloakster - 09-12-2007

Also, you know guys. You dont need mod rights to help out. You can go to IRC and see if any of us are on. If none of us are on then take screen shots and we will ban him :)

Re: Lack of mods/admins - tomozj - 09-12-2007

We won't ban based on screenshots, cloakster. (Happened a few times before)

Anyway, the crew doesn't need extending. There isn't a shortage of crew, as it isn't too hard for one administrator to work with 149 other players (you just have to try).

You just have to be patient, and expect some bad stuff to go down. We get way too many people spamming us for pluspoints, which doesn't help with the situation of chasing cheaters etc. - so eh.
