the video card aint reallly good but its good enuff to run IV on medium settings.


shoru:  try setting IV to the lowest settings possible, does that error still occur?


Do you have all patches installed?  Take a look at my GTA IV Guide, its stickied in this forum section

The problem was patch, I forgot to install it.
Now I play on medium settings,runs great let me tell you...

I know that, lol. I mean 512mb vram is still pretty bad for IV. 1GB is usally what you should get.

lol, getting a card with 1GB vram is only gonna make a difference at higher resolutions (1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, etc).

Nope, resolution has almost nothing to do with memory usage.

I benched it myself,  Counter-Strike Source with  32x SSAA Anti-Aliasing.

Memory Usage 640x480: 871MB
Memory Usage 1280x1024: 876MB
Memory Usage 1600x1200: 891MB

Resolution doesnt really affect VRAM, its more the texture detail + anti aliasing

And what program did you use for that?
