Re: Mentors. - HoldeN - 07-19-2009 [LF]GURMINATION [LF]CANADATION Tought me all my fighting skills [AGS]KillFrenzy - Tought me the basics of the game and much more
Re: Mentors. - Maka - 07-19-2009 Ok, I've came up with a few, Manny - teaching me a few first things since in one of the first days I entered LVP I actually joined CT in it's first days and fought against B&A, using sawnoffs and uzi's whilst I was a complete noob and didn't understand anything of the lag. Jay - Dunno as a mentor, but he was there you know. SiN - Becoming better with sawnoff bug, becoming better with 2shot, getting introduced in the walk weapons. Re: Mentors. - Beethi - 07-19-2009 OneManArmy,Buhu and Halo. Re: Mentors. - Stef - 07-20-2009 Hmm, I never really had someone that teached me the commands and stuff like that. I mostly learned it myself. Nakebod and slein come closest to mentors as we were active a lot on teamspeak before. I never had a mentor for teaching me how to shoot. That is probably why I suck quite hard at it
Re: Mentors. - FarePak - 07-20-2009 [H]Infamous Re: Mentors. - Thug - 07-20-2009 [eVo]Praetorian teached me a bit about hitboxes the first week I joined [eVo] but that's about it.. :p Re: Mentors. - Maddolis - 07-20-2009 After I befriended mosteeL (changed the capitalisation of his name 3 times or so) and Rhydah, they put in a good word with Makaveli/Maka and he introduced me to the whole "hitbox" concept (as I was just leadaiming willy nilly- pretty much what you do in 2.9 ). mosteeL and Rhydah were a couple of strong high-pingers at the time (being Filipino) and when I first fought Maka he was crazy skilled (in comparison to me, and most others). Those 3 would have to be there up the top, although haven't really been 'mentors' for a couple of years now, literally. I later returned the favour to mosteeL and Rhydah and helped get them into [W]- when I first fought Hustler and more importantly, Hooligan, my jaw just dropped at their skills. After I was in CT (and had already applied for [W] before I got in- way too early if you ask for my opinion now) I got more exposure to clans such as [SiN], yet most of my fighting was alongside them against new clans (at the time) of [MI] and [HC4L]. Anyway to save this turning into a 5page long history thread, my "mentors" would be mosteeL and Maka, and then Hooligan- but as a high pinger I had to figure everything out for myself on a higher level, and in developing my own tactics and strategies I'd have to say that I was by far the biggest mentor to myself. Re: Mentors. - HaZe - 07-20-2009 [SiN]ZiGGY & [SiN]d3str0y3r were my first and more thorough teachers.
