download the tool "GPU-Z" and start it (no installation required, its only 1MB or so) and it will tell you your graphics cards name and details

if you still have the driver cd unistall ur current drivers and install the ones u have on cd.

I think we gotta start at the beginning. What did you exactly do that caused all this in the first place? Also, when doing what does it display the error message?

the thing where you change the refresh rate on the ati card to make the samp server load up quicker and after it it displayed this video mode cannot be displayed
