Re: The cultivation topic - dappamikey - 03-02-2009 Yes the only thing I ever tried to grow was weed. I took it quite seriously too but as soon as the seeds germinated I just bunged #em in a pot put a load of plant feed in (4 quid for a small bottle!) and hoped for the best. 2 years later the pot still sits in my bathroom unchanged from the day I bunged *ahem* planted them. Anyways good work you done there, would be good to see the results in a few months. Re: The cultivation topic - Agent - 03-02-2009 How about some weed plant ?
Re: The cultivation topic - Felle - 03-02-2009 Thanks for the comments once again. Maybe if I were a little older, weed would be possible, but not now. And Corleone: that depends how much chili I get ![]() Some pictures from today: Tomatoes http://files.uploadffs.com/4/e5714a73/P3020250.JPG They seem to be doing well. I spray them with water every now and then to simulate a higher air humidity. Clementine http://files.uploadffs.com/8/62728b27/P3020252.JPG There's five of them now (I sewed 10), the one on the right that's taller and doesn't look like a clementine has popped up pretty random there, but I think it's a tomato or paprika seed ending up a little wrong. There's another similar one that's popped up on another place I haven't sewed anything, that looks like this as well. Radish http://files.uploadffs.com/6/31f269b8/P3020253.JPG This is how they look after the re-planting. Poor light in the picture, but most of them (all except two to be exact) are standing up on their own now. ![]() Paprika http://files.uploadffs.com/a/52cbaa38/P3020254.JPG And this is how they look after the re-planting. They are not having trouble standing up by themselves, perhaps a little because I planted them far down. That's also the reason they look shorter now than in the first picture. Chili http://files.uploadffs.com/a/daf8a152/P3020255.JPG Doing fine as well. Might actually be time soon to plant them in pots, but I'm going to wait a few days before doing that. It seems that the avocado is not going to grow, but I haven't given up hope on the oranges yet though. Considering the clementines took a long time before growing, there's still a chance the oranges will show up one day. ![]() Re: The cultivation topic - Felle - 03-21-2009 Interest has been low I see, but I'll update anyway. Re-planted tomatoes, paprika/pepper, chili and a few clementines. Sewed thyme, but managed to tip them over and the pots (plastic, thank god) fell to the ground. ![]() Also sewed garden cress, but only a few are growing... it looks like I'm failing on the easiest plant. ![]() Here's some pictures (click for bigger): Paprika (pepper) ![]() Doing fine. Tomato ![]() ![]() They are growing really strong, longest is about 13 cm high, and then I still put them as far down in the pot as possible. Clementine ![]() I only re-planted the biggest ones, the others are still left where I planted them the first time, and right now I haven't got enough space to care about them. Chili ![]() Nothing to say really, they're doing good. Radish ![]() ![]() Has not been prioritized to be honest, they are easy sewing and is fully developed in about a month, so I can try them a few times before the season is over. Garden Cress ![]() There's also a few sprouts there that you can't see, some are kinda growing downwards. Re: The cultivation topic - Rien - 03-22-2009 seems like your plants are growing nicely, Felle ![]() I'm sure that if I were to try that I'd epicly fail Re: The cultivation topic - Joe - 03-22-2009 VN Felle, I couldn't grow that if I wanted to.
Re: The cultivation topic - Felle - 03-22-2009 Thanks Twilight and Joe ![]() Also, I'm kind of wondering what to sew next. I've got seeds of: Chive Basil Parsley Marjoram (oregano) Bee balm (type of mint) Dill Thyme Help me decide!!
Re: The cultivation topic - Danny - 03-22-2009 Mmm chives and Parsley. I'm hungry
