I've been spending time looking for a new T.V., and I too was tempted by the incredibly low prices I found from "legit" sites or ads. Think I e-mailed one guy about a T.V. and on his ad he said he lived in sacramento california, but when I got a response he told me he lived in London and would send a t.v. if I sent him cash 0.o in advance, so I searched up his name and found out he's been selling imaginary homes to people lol.

That indeed majorly sucks, but flying over there is just asking for trouble. Consider looking for some online legal advice to get a basic outline of what you're entitled to in this situation perhaps, and maybe get yourself a lawyer. I'm sure that he's in wrong, and this cunt needs to simply be taught a lesson. You could even just send him a message threatening legal action - that might throw him off enough that he doesn't want to bother with it. Just act promptly or you'll soon find he'll get away.

This isn't what you deserve. :r

Never really understood why people buy shit over the internet anyway. It's not like you have to drive to the other side of the state to shop for a TV unless you are from Alabama or something where they don't have stores.

Story is a bummer tho and there ain't much to do about it either, even if you take this to the court level since the international cases are 10 times more trouble than they are actually worth.

Yer I know, New Zealanders are dicks! Lol, joke. Shame to hear about that, "if it's too good to be true though it probably is" (Words from the Real Hustle, TV show about scams in the UK)

Well, with Christmas rolling around, me and my father thought that me and him needed a good gift since we went through a lot with my family. So we both decided we want a new T.V. We already have a nice 36inch LCD Flatscreen TV downstairs and he wanted a new one and give me the old for my room. So me and him look and he finds a guy from New Zealand. A really good price for three LCD T.V's. So we decide to try and get three T.V.s one for my father, one for my dad's mom, and one to sell. Well, we sent the guy the money, and everything. The guy says it will be at my house on Dec. 24th. So while my family is out for Christmas Eve, I'm home till 8pm waiting for the delivery. Nothing came. So we talked to the guy and he kept saying that it will be coming soon and to be strong. About 2 weeks later, the guy says we need to pay a custom tax. Well he never told us we had to, he said everything was payed for and it will be shipped. So me and my dad had to pay another $400 for customs through New Zealand. Well, it took us a while to get the money about 2 more weeks. We pay, then the guy says we need to pay another $300 for U.S. Customs. Well, we battled and we said that this guy should pay this customs tax cause he said everything was ready to be sent and good to go. Well this guy says he can't. Now let me say that he is the assistant manager of a "shipping company." Well here we more than a month later and no damn T.V's. Well this decided to throw us another curve ball and says that the T.V. was held in customs too long and he needs to take them back. He proceeds to tell us he will sent them out again. Well, my dad left him a message in a email and it reads, "If you got a pair of balls, you better call me or you won't hear the last of me." This guy never responded or anything. Well this morning the guys sent us a message saying that he is not going to be sending the T.V.'s because it's too much of a hassel. Now we are in a battle of getting our money back. My father and I really concidering buying tickets and paying this guy a nice little visit.

I hope you guys learn a little something through this post, make sure you guys know who you are dealing with.

i will just say 1 word to that story.

Thats definitely a shit one, never trust people offering to sell more than three high price items on the internet.  Just use Amazon or something, something you can trust!
