Aye, my girlfriend's computer which is something like a 3.2GHz dual core was acting fucky, and it turned out that it was a faulty motherboard. Perhaps a computer store will test it out for you.. unless you have another PC you can swap parts with to test.

cod 4 works well now i just changed to vista nvidia geforce 6200 wasnt compatible with xp so i had to change to vista but i havnt tried palying because ic ant find SA CD XD

A geforce 6200 is completely compatible to windows XP, and i dont believe ya that COD4 runs smooth, because your graphics card is shit from the last century. I had one too, no problems in XP, but gaming = terrible. COD4 on the minimum of minimums with maybe 20FPS
