Whenever my dad's had a car when the ice comes, he'd just pour a kettle over the windows, but a spray would be much better.

lol .. fukin kiddin me!? best way to crack your windscreen is to do that right there .. immediate heat on freezing cold surface ... did you fail at science in school?

I never said the kettle was boiled. It's just heated enough to melt the ice. It worked perfectly every time and no windows cracked or anything.

I used to use water and my heater fans in my car to de-ice the windscreen. Then i got a 5ft crack accrross it from a tiny stone because i weakened it
You live and you learn, just scrape it off.
