as I said... it's not a part of our religion to throw dead people in the sea, if they were afraid that his body would rot they must've had tons of ways to preserve the body, and in our religion, you can't bury someone in the sea if he died in land.

if the US ever said that... they're trying to justify throwing his body in the sea

Re: Osama Bin Laden dead - Maka - 05-07-2011

Get your facts straight. Not once have they said they were "afraid" his body would rot or anything like that. Why would they need to justify that action? It is a justified action. Besides, even if your religion states someone cannot be buried at sea if he died on land, then what is the big deal? They aren't Islamic, it's not like they should know every detail about your religion. You also stated it isn't a part of your religion to bury dead people in the sea, yet you claim they "cannot be buried at sea" if they died at land, thus actually saying it IS okay to bury someone at sea if he would've died at sea. Kind of arguing with yourself there.

am sorry if I failed to express what I'm thinking.
I'm saying Islam says this: if someone died on a ship and his body would rot before they reach land, they are allowed to bury him in the sea after applying all other rulings (like praying at his body etc).

you can't say that they threw Osama's body in the sea just because that's what his religion says.

hope you got it now.

I do. Though I hope some in here understand as to why his body was thrown in the sea for good reasons.

Re: Osama Bin Laden dead - durrrrr - 05-07-2011

A very logical thing was pointed out here in newspaper: if Osama Bin Laden wasn't killed, other extremists could have taken some innocent people as hostages and tried to change them into O. B. Laden.
