ok i really didn't expect this lol. anyway...congratulations braga.

and just gonna put in a few words for the other matches:
partizan belgrade - shakthar donetsk(0:3): i thought this one would be a draw. guess shakthar weren't of the same mind.
spartak moscow - marseille(0:3): as expected.
auxerre - ac milan(0:2): milan could've made it easier for themselves if they scored in the first half.
chelsea - msc zilina(2:1): same as milan although here chelsea had to draw in the first half and then score in the second. but even a minute matters in football.
ajax amsterdam - real madrid(0:4): ...nothing i could say for this one. brutality at its most.
basel - cfr cluj(1:0): as expected.

Re: Football Topic - [Jordan] - 11-24-2010

Real Madrid 4 - 0 Ajax.

We got... terminated. Despite them having 2 players sent off (Xabi Alonso & Sergio Ramos) at the last 5 minutes, it doesn't help.

Well thats us out of the UEFA CL.

Should of never been a penalty though.. oh well.

At least we still got a biter
Luis Suarez bite, Suarez bite Otman Bakkal, Suarez bites like Tyson

Re: Football Topic - Munch - 11-24-2010

Damn Man U...

Glasgow Rangers 0 - 1 Manchester United

Rangers should have won that game, Man U were shite, Rooney was awful and didn't really test the Rangers keeper and van der Sar made quite a few mistakes. Rangers however didn't press on their attacks that much, only put a couple players up and the gap between them players would be big.

And that ref...corrupt to the max. Let all sorts of things slide for Man U but then book the Rangers players for much lighter offenses.

To make it worse, Man U got their goal from a penalty at the end and with Rooney taking it. The commentators then said it was a perfect penalty. Did he even watch the penalty?! Mcgregor went the complete opposite way to where Rooney kicked the ball and Townsend considers that a perfect penalty.

Rooney was one of the worst players on the pitch tonight too, he was awful, but the media will dismiss the performance simply because he got his name on the scoresheet.

Re: Football Topic - dappamikey - 11-26-2010

On a serious note Munch I would be interested on how you see sundays game panning out. We should be heavy favourites but with Torres coming good again it gives you a good shot at making a real game of it. Should we expect Hodgosn to shut up shop or will you really go for it and attack us where we are weakest (at the back).

Re: Football Topic - Munch - 11-26-2010

We will probably get an early goal, or maybe play really well then when the players go into the dressing room at half time Hodgson will then attempt to destroy the performance and tell the players to defend the 1 goal lead or whatever we have.

Torres is returning to form but he's not there yet. Hopefully Meireles can play like he did against West Ham, and Joe Cole coming back should help.

I'd like to see Torres and N'Gog up front partnering eachother. It's been shown to work, it gives both players more freedom and they don't have to work as hard, and Torres could be a good teacher for N'Gog. It'll also decrease the chance of Torres getting injured again.

And if Spurs are without van der Vaart then that'll give us a slight advantage, although we'll be without Gerrard. I think Redknapp will have until tomorrow to decide whether van der Vaart can play or not, or if he'll come on as a sub later on.
