The normal 9800GTX isnt even in the german shops, because its too "old". It got replaced by the newer 9800GTX+ which costs between 155 and 165€. --------------------------------------------- (01-12-2009, 11:28 PM)cloakster link Wrote: mjaa, the best buy really depends on where you live and the GTX 295 is the best single card solution out. Sorry to correct you, but the GTX 295 is no single card. Nvidia left out the "GX2", but still, the GTX 295 consists of two (2) GTX 200 series GPUs. The GPU data is the same like the GTX 260, but the Shaders are 240 and not 216, same as the GTX 280. So its like 2 GTX 260 with 240shaders instead of 192/216 on one card. Its the same like the HD 4870X2, but slightly more powerful. Look at this: http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/hardware/grafikkarten/2009/test_nvidia_geforce_gtx_295/2/ Its a german site and you wont understand the most, but in the middle of that website there is a big table which compares the data of GTX 260, 280, 295 and HD 4870X2. You will understand the table but not the entire site, i guess. Re: Test if your PC can run GTA IV - mjaa - 01-13-2009 I know what gtx 295 is. And it doesn't matter what the cards cost for you. Swedish kronan is weaker then euro. Thats why it's cheaper for you. Still, the price diffrent is still the same betweeen ati and nvidia. Nvidia take more money for theres cards. Ofc i mean 9800gtx+ Hd4850 beat the old one and performs same with the new + I didn't know they sold old 9800GTX now days.. Thats why i skip / forget write + Re: Test if your PC can run GTA IV - cloakster - 01-14-2009 Hitman, i know what the GTX 295 is, but it is still considered a single card because of the fact that it fits into 1 PCI-E slot and you only have to buy one of it. As long as its not SLI or Crossfire, its still considered a single card ![]() And wow do you guys get ripped off on the GTX 280. Its $365 CDN here, which is approx 225 euro.
