Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo (March 1st!) - xBlueXFoxx - 02-18-2011

I've played the beta for PC so I can already tell you now, if you can run Crysis 1 at very high 25FPS, then you can definitely run this game at high 40+FPS. High on Crysis 2 I would have to say smashes very high on Crysis 1 in visual looks.

Don't think your PC can handle it? Well don't worry! There are copies coming to all high spec consoles (PS3 and XBox 360) with the same engine and online experience. (Just the graphics are toned down ;) ) Cryengine 3 is an astonishing looking, and performing new engine by Crytek, going to all new levels in modern gaming by still having photo-real graphics, put together with Crysis's famous physics, but more lightweight than ever before!

But don't think the graphics are the only reason to buy this game! The campaign and multi-player is definitely enough to buy the game alone even if it had the same graphics as GTA: Vice City. I've played the multi-player and absolutely love it, definitely gets a 5star from me on every detail, this game I would say deserves a hell of a lot more sales than Call of Duty: Black Ops.

But regarding the sales, a week or so ago a beta version of the full game was leaked, Crytek is VERY pissed off about this but the damage has been done. Many people are able to play the game free and online, and get a 80% baked campaign along with every map of the multi-player. There has been no reports of how many people have downloaded or how much profit was at loss due to this leak, but it's definitely a down side for the PC community of the game.

The PC demo is being released March 1st

Quote:The time has come for PC gamers to take their best shot in Crysis 2 multiplayer. Available for download at http://crysis.ea.com and other partner sites on March 1, the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo includes two stunning maps, two adrenaline-filled modes, and hours of multiplayer action. In the demo, PC gamers will master the game’s signature Nanosuit, which allows them to be strong, be invisible, be fast and become the ultimate weapon.

Players will compete in six vs. six matches set against a war-torn Manhattan in two maps: “Skyline”, set on top of the rooftops and interiors of skyscrapers, and “Pier 17”, an open environment with limited cover. The demo also features two modes: “Team Instant Action” pits two teams against each other as they kill as many opponents as possible to win the round and “Crash Site,” where players will battle for control of alien drop pods, earning points by guarding their pods and keeping enemies at bay.

Here a video of the multi-player gameplay, it's already been blowing up on youtube because of the xbox demo release at the end of January.

(This was actually the original MP promotion video, in early beta phases so you'll notice a few differences between then and the PC demo soon.)

I will still get the demo, and prolly buy the game just because they're not buggy POS's. :+

Not to mention the leaked torrents are being deleted off popular torrent sites and are probably loaded with bad trackers now.

the leaked version only goes to 'High' and is on dx9, thats why you are getting 40+ FPS. Once the game releases and will have Ultra High settings to choose and dx11, you will see your FPS drop as low as it did in Crysis ;)

Looking forward to this game!!! Cryengine 3 looks so damn badass

Re: Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo (March 1st!) - Maka - 02-19-2011

I won't be trying it out anyway. Crysis is without a doubt a great game but it isn't my cup of tea anymore. I'm already way less interested in games anyway...
Though I do have access to that leak since early this week already. My cousin has it at his hands.

Re: Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo (March 1st!) - cloakster - 03-26-2011

I am actually extremely disappointed with Crysis 2. The game on its own is fine, but compared to the original its absolute trash. Nothing is the same and you can completely tell that it was built for the consoles with PC being the complete last priority.

Though, all the comparisons between the original ive read has made me wanna play Crysis 1 again. Downloading now, cant wait to play :)

Re: Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo (March 1st!) - xBlueXFoxx - 03-26-2011

The PC community is rather pissed about Crysis 2, especially the modding community who loved to make maps, mods, custom assets and such. The game is clearly a rather poor console import with a few connection problems here and there, but overall I would not say it's a bad game.

The PC community obviously got the raw end of the deal, but graphic wise DX11 is supposed to be coming soon in and up coming patch.
