A leveling system - HoldeN - 04-26-2010 Hey, i have a suggestion for 'the next big step' creation, it's a leveling system, which is kinda like the old GTO, but this one would be less buggy if created, it's set to be a side mission kinda thing, so when you're bored of casually killing, racing and minigames, there's something else to do, we could have the levels from 1 to 50 maybe? the higher the level the more armour you'd get when you bought spawnarmour, the more ammo you'd get when buying weapons, and other stuff if suggested... Basically, the way to level, would be to earn XP, XP could be gained by, killing, racing, sitting in an XP zone, defending a turf war at the gang-house, or by earning achievements/getting correct awnsers in the maths/word tests or w/e you'd like to call it I hope i didn't confuse you all, im tired as fuck atm :7 Could this please be moved to the right board? thx :p Re: A leveling system - Kase - 04-26-2010 Yeah, would be nice. Also to show it in /getstats and /my stats. If you pass a level, such as 1000 XP Points, you complete an achievement and you'll have some new commands (like regular ones)

The current achievments are very meh since some of them have stupid targets and one even requires you to cheat (or be impacted by a cheater) A level system based on driving, fighting, targeting, quick responce tests, a few misc fun things and certain minigames like my sky dive suggestion for example could make this level thing pretty |33t Re: A leveling system - Phyc0 - 04-26-2010 If implemented, it should be directly related to player's karma level. Re: A leveling system - bubbles - 04-26-2010 This is totally seperate from karma I'd imagine which is a ranking calculated on a forumal of 70 things like your kills, time on server, member of whatpulse etc etc When all the work is done on the server the Karma formula would have to be edited - but again thats a completly seperate issue I would think. Re: A leveling system - Phyc0 - 04-26-2010 Using the current karma formula will give a clear view as to who deserves the mentioned rewards. Only players which are using all or most of LVPs services should have the privilege of extra weapon ammo, etc. I do see where you're coming from, though, bubbles. Perhaps it would be better creating a new formula──a 'gaming karma'──so the rewards they receive are directly related to the gaming side of LVP. And the original formula will display their overall karma. |
